This Weekend...

This weekend I...

...went out for drinks at The Sixth after Jeff said he was in the mood for a cocktail. I always forget this place exists and is right in our neighborhood - it's so fun for a date or with a bigger group. Their cocktails are really creative and delicious - their signature (which I get every time) is layered, multi-colored/flavored ice cubes that change the flavor and color of the drink as they melt. We've never been on a Friday evening before, and they  were making special infused bourbon as their Friday special - I'm not a bourbon girl but it was fun to watch the process.
...ordered this v-neck tank - it's so cute and simple, perfect for layering. I'm always trying to buy silk camis but they never work on me, plus I'd prefer to be able to wear a regular bra. Fingers crossed this works out!
...pouted when Jeff tried to take me to a casual bar for dinner (after I told him he could pick whatever he wanted - whoops!) and ended up walking into DueLire, where they magically had a table open up for us right away - impressive, considering the tiny size of their dining room! I always love this place for their homemade pasta and extensive Italian wine list, plus in the summer they have the cutest little patio out back. Burrata was on special, so Jeff wasn't too mad at me about the change of plans.
...drove up to my parents' house to celebrate my mom and sister's birthdays. Their birthdays actually were two weeks ago, but my parents were in Japan!! I know, I know, I'm so jealous too. My brother and his wifey live in South Korea (I always want to write North - ha, slightly different!) so my parents flew over to visit them, and then they all hopped over to Japan for my brother's spring break. They just happened to be in Kyoto for the peak cherry blossom week. NBD.

I'm flying out to San Francisco for work today (and once again pouting, because it's actually supposed to be warmer here than in SF while I'm there!) but don't you worry, I managed to pre-schedule posts for the week so it'll be all normal programming here. You can also follow along on Instagram. Here's hoping you have a good one!!
