White Jeans Season

Sweater - Halogen / Jeans - Gap / Coat - J. Crew / Bag (similar here and here)- Target / Flats (similar here and here) - Banana Republic / Necklace - Stella & Dot

Cheers to the first day of spring!!! It may be, oh, 35 degrees in these parts, but we're still celebrating.

I've pulled out the white jeans a few times already this year, but the first day of spring, for me, means it's now officially white jeans season!! I love how fresh they make all of my spring outfits look - they just give a little something more than your average blue jeans!

I've tried a lot of white jeans, and these ones are definitely my favorites. They aren't see through, they're the right length (I actually just get them in Long, not Tall - the talls are actually too long for me!), and you can't see the pockets - check, check, and check. Plus, they go on sale about once a week so you can always get a deal.

I obviously am still loving this super cute sweater - the bow detail is so fun!! It has been super popular so now it's available in seven different colors. I've been wearing it at least once a week for the past couple months - don't judge! Sometimes I pair it with my bow mules when I want to be really extra. Which, let's be real, is always ;)

More Bows

Sweater - Halogen / Jeans - Gap / Flats - Sam Edelman / Coat - J. Crew / Scarf (similar here, here, and here) - Forever 21 / Earrings (similar metallic earrings, or budget option) - Charming Charlie / Bag - Tory Burch / Necklace - Stella & Dot

I'm starting to think that everything I own has a bow on the back. And I'm not one bit mad about it.

This sweater is a little more than I'd normally spend, but I saw the bows and I couldn't not have have it. I mean, hello?! Could it get any cuter?

The sweater itself is oh so soft, apparently a little static-y judging by these photos, and comes in a bunch of cute colors - I'm definitely eying the gray in case some room opens up in my clothing budget for next month!!

Just a note. If you have any toddlers in your life, never let anyone encourage them to pull on the bows. I wore this to a baby's birthday party last weekend, and was scared for the sweater's life. On a sidenote, if toddlers happen to pull on the bows on your sweater, it turns out they're surprisingly durable. No bows were (permanently) harmed.

I paired it with black jeans and booties here, partially for anti-stain safety precautions at said birthday party (the last kid's party I went to, I came home covered in raspberries!), but can't wait to wear it with white jeans and my favorite bow mules this spring! Or, like, this weekend. I hear it's going to hit 50 degrees again. Cue all of the high fives. And then the nervous nail biting because global warming is real, despite what our president might tell you.

Am I getting off track? Let's pull this back in. Bows, bows, bows.

Tied with a Bow

Coat (this season's version) - Old Navy / Sweater (similar here) - LOFT / Skirt, Earrings, and Hair Bow - J.Crew / Heels (similar here, or an almost identical red pair. I also love this splurge pair.) - Ann Taylor / Bag - Tory Burch / Lip - Maybelline (color is Pioneer)

Okay, so here's an important question: how many bows is it appropriate to wear in one outfit?

With the holidays upon us and hair bows coming back into style, I'm starting to find myself wearing two or even three (ahem, or four - the back of this sweater has a bow too!) per outfit. What can I say, they're fun and girly without being over the top, and seemingly go with everything!

Initially I was a little unsure when hair bows started showing up everywhere this fall, but I decided to try one out for myself and am now fully on board. They're such a fun accessory, and make even the most casual hairstyle look dressed up. It's just too bad I didn't keep my giant hair bows from the '90s, because I'd be set right about now! I currently just have the one, which is attached to a giant barrette which makes it easy to clip in and go.

I've also been all about the red lips this year. I've tried red lips in the past but would always get frustrated with the color fading too fast and ending up all over my cups / food / clothes / husband. This year I decided to try a few long-wear formulas, and I'm totally hooked! Here I'm wearing Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink in Pioneer, and it is a serious game-changer. The color really lasts all day! You just have to let it dry for at least 10 minutes before trying to drink or kiss anything. Which is usually something I can handle ;)

Ensemble: Bows & Lace

Sometimes you just need an extra dose of girliness in your life.  Bows and lace are my answer.

Top and Skirt - Loft / Tights - Target / Necklace - H&M / Belt - ASOS / Watch - Michael Kors / Heels - Nine West

I know, I know.  You've been sucking it up for the past few weeks and going without tights.  Well, I'm a wimp.  And these tights are adorable, so I don't care.

I've been on the hunt for a cute pair of polka dotted tights but haven't had luck so far.  I guess with warmer weather on the way, I won't really be needing tights again for a while.  Here's to bare legs!
