Whenever I throw on a pencil skirt and heels, I hear a little voice in my head that says, "I wish I had to dress up for work." And then I beat it back, because, well, it's fun for one day, but dress pants in the Chicago winter are the absolute worst. Jeans and booties all the time, please!

Are these pictures super old? Ummmmm, guilty. You're looking at one of my family Christmas party looks. I was going to share my winter wedding look from this weekend, but as per the usual I didn't manage to take any pictures besides a selfie or two. Too busy shaking my booty off I guess ;)

This belt is one of those pieces I've had in my closet for a long time and love but rarely makes it out. I put it on all of the time, but it just doesn't quite work. Is it financially irresponsible if I buy a whole new wardrobe specifically to wear with my fancy bow belt?

Pink & Stripes

You can't tell, but I snapped these pics in a hurry last week before those intense storms rolled through.  It was still sunny, but you could see the clouds looming to the west.  I used to love storms when I was little, but now they freak me out a little.  Maybe because of all of the super destructive tornadoes that have been rolling through Oklahoma, or maybe because there isn't a good place to seek shelter in my current house - every room has windows!  Needless to say, I took a couple of pictures and then ran inside.

Sometimes you just need an extra dose of girliness in your life.  Bows and lace are my answer.

I know, I know.  You've been sucking it up for the past few weeks and going without tights.  Well, I'm a wimp.  And these tights are adorable, so I don't care.

I've been on the hunt for a cute pair of polka dotted tights but haven't had luck so far.  I guess with warmer weather on the way, I won't really be needing tights again for a while.  Here's to bare legs!
