Pink on Pink on Pink

Sweater - Old Navy / Jeans - Gap / Coat - J. Crew / Bag (similar) - Kate Spade / Shoes - BP / Earrings - BaubleBar / Watch - Wristology

Remember how I said I get super into pink every year around this time? Yeah, I added another pink sweater to my rotation last week. All pink, all the time.

Usually I'd pick black or blue jeans since we're still in the thick of winter, but with the white stripes on this cute sweater (which, by the way, is only $32!!) I had to bring out my white jeans. Paired with my lighter wool coat, it feels appropriately winter-y. I love the look with my bow mules here (it was actually almost 50 degrees when we took these photos), but would love to add a pair of gray or taupe OTK boots to my closet to wear with white jeans in the winter. Being warm is basically the most important thing to me. I do not believe in suffering for fashion.

Spring Oldies

Sweater (similar) - LOFT / Skirt (similar) - Banana Republic / Jacket (similar) - J.Crew Factory / Sandals (similar) - Sole Society / Bag (similar) - Ann Taylor / Necklace (similar) - Madewell / Bracelet - Michael Kors

This is another outfit pulled from things I basically forgot I had. I said last week that I'm always rooting around my closet in spring searching for pastels in the spring, and this is a perfect example. This skirt was purchased several years ago as a winter white piece, so in my mind it was only for fall and winter. I actually really wanted to buy this skirt but realized that I already had something almost identical and probably didn't need two flippy white minis. And then this sweater has been around for a long time - I actually wore it for our engagement photos! See guys - don't just throw out your clothes if you haven't worn them in a while!

What are you guys up to this week? We planned a little deck party on our roof deck for this upcoming weekend so I'm in party planning mode. When I was little I used to make fun of my mom for these insane party notebooks she took, where she kept notes about what they made, whether there was enough food or not, who came to the party, etc. etc. That level of organization always seemed crazy to me when I was younger, but now I wish I could keep up like that! We've thrown parties before but I still never know how much food to make. Wish me luck!

Current Wishlist

Coat - Club Monaco / Heels - Banana Republic / Necklace - Stella & Dot / Dress - Piperlime / Bag - Kate Spade / Necklace - BaubleBar / Watch - Kate Spade / Sweater - Gap / Bikini - Kate Spade

Around this time each year, as I snuggle down under my faux fur blanket and start dreaming about spring break, pastels start to draw me in. I've been wanting a smaller bag that fits my iPad mini to go with my wool coat, but now I'm thinking instead of a dark color maybe a pretty lavender would do the trick instead. Or maybe I'll just get a new wool coat for spring, like this pretty one from Club Monaco, so I don't have to worry about matching. I'm also dyyyyyying over this little striped dress, I'm not sure how it would look on my figure but I can imagine this working so well for a wedding this spring or maybe for one of my own wedding events. As for the bikini, well, I've been staring at it every day wondering if my chest would fit into the top and really need to go into the store to see how it looks.

What's on your current wishlist?

Cream & Lavender

Sweater - Loft / Skirt - c/o Sammydress / Sandals - Sole Society (similar) / Necklace - c/o Anjolee / Ring - F21 (old) / Earrings - LC Lauren Conrad (old)

I'm clearly a big statement necklace fan, but recently, more often than not I find myself reaching for simple, delicate pieces.  This gorgeous one carat CZ necklace Anjolee sent me definitely fits the bill.  Anjolee lets you customize any of their jewelry, so you can get exactly what you want. I chose to get this on a longer chain, short necklaces can look weird on me because of my chest.  While this necklace is beautiful, a sparkly diamond tennis necklace sounds pretty good to me too :)

I'm dressing down the necklace here with this cute lavender sweater (last seen here), but I could also see wearing it for a fancy night out in my favorite LBD.  I haven't worn it since my friend's wedding two summers ago, but I'm hoping I'll have an occasion to pull it out soon - maybe an upcoming wedding this summer at the Adler Planetarium?  I went through all of my fancy dresses last week and had to get rid of a bunch because they're too big, but luckily this one still fits.

I hope you're having a good week so far - it's dragging a little for me but only because I know there's a three day weekend coming up!  I'm really excited for it since I haven't had any days off work since March.  Hopefully the weather cooperates!
