Wishlist: All of the Shoes

You guys, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. There are some temperatures in the freaking 40's in my future, the official start of Spring is just a couple weeks away, and we're about to get a whole lot more daylight since we spring forward this weekend. The biggest relief out of anything though is the end of boot season. I love my boots, but after wearing them day in and day out since September I am so over them. Bring on the sneakers, the sandals, and the heels! Maybe I should get a pedicure…

Summer Sandals

Is it just me, or do last year's sandals always look pretty sad by the time warm weather rolls around again?  I tend to be grossed out by most of my sandals come spring, no matter how much I loved them the summer before.  I guess that's what happens when you wear them every day for months without socks ;)  I'm guessing the famous Target glitter sandals will make it another year, but here are some pretties to replace my current sandal collection:

Want//Need: Ankle Strap Heels

I'm dying for a pair of ankle strap heels.  They're so flirty and feminine, plus look much easier to walk in than platform heels.  I can see myself wearing them to the office, out on the town, and to all of the weddings I have lined up this summer.

Obsession: Nude Booties

Do you ever get it in your head that if you don't find the perfect pant/shoe/bag there's no way you'll ever be able to put together another outfit?  I often find myself with this urge, and end up online and real life shopping for days until I realize I must have dreamed the item I'm frantically searching for because it doesn't really exist.

For the past week, I've been searching for the perfect nude bootie.  I wanted a really light color with a small heel or wedge, preferably leather rather than suede, with a really short shaft, that wasn't particularly "cowboy-y".  While I still haven't found my dream shoe (this pair that Annie was rocking comes pretty close), I did spy some very cute options along the way:

Sunday Night: Boot Edition

On Friday afternoon, I went to pull out the tan riding boots I had worn all of last Fall/Winter/Spring, only to discover that something had managed to drip through both boots and caused a big stain.  Guess I should have reapplied that waterproofing spray!

In a state of delirium and grief, I passed DSW (err, saw DSW was only a block past the other errands I was running) and bought these babies.  And subsequently wore them every day this weekend.  Guess I found my new favorites!
