Now that November is here, I'm in full holiday plaid mode. I may still be burning pumpkin candles like there's no tomorrow, but it's already Christmas in my heart. And on my tv, because I already watched Christmas Vacation last week. Whoops.

I used to hate the Christmas creep when I was younger, but now that every day and week seems to be going by faster, I'm fine embracing the Christmas spirit a little early. Plus, you know, I need a chance to wear all of the holiday clothes in my closet ;)

I had this same shirt in a different pattern last year, and I loved it so much I had to buy it again when they released a new version this year. I mean, plaid plus a ruffle? What more does a girl need?

So tell me - are you embracing the holiday spirit early? Or are you gung-ho on Thanksgiving until Black Friday?

Casual Weekend

This weekend it bounced back up to the upper 70's, so I decided to pull out my shorts one last time.  I've really been loving the look of long sleeves with shorts lately, so I paired them with my favorite long sleeve tee.  It was perfect for an afternoon of running errands and looking cute while taking 10 minutes attempting to parallel park downtown #strugs.

Casual Weekend

Since I started sharing my outfits online (almost two years ago, wow!) I've felt a lot more pressure getting dressed.  Like I have to be put together all the time, but also try not to repeat outfits or wear pieces I just showed on the blog.  Last weekend, I decided not to care.  I was just going out to run some errands, so I fell back on the old standby of a comfy tee, boyfriend jeans, and sneakers.  With a few of my favorite accessories (this necklace and watch are now being worn on the daily), I actually still managed to feel put together. I think I selected the perfect day to dress down, because as it turns out, boyfriend jeans are the perfect choice for pounding down cupcakes like it's your job.

Weekend Casual

I feel like I rarely dress down these days, but whenever I get the chance I love pulling on a casual tee and some sneakers.  I wore this last weekend to run a couple of errands around town.  I decided to try the sneakers Miranda Kerr wears into the shower after seeing them featured a couple of places, and they are seriously so comfortable.  I have a bit of joint pain, and as soon as I slipped these babies on it went away.

Today's Jeff's birthday!! I can't celebrate with him today because of some work things, so I'm sending him off to celebrate with some of his man friends.  Instead, I surprised him yesterday after work with a funfetti cake (his favorite) and tickets to see James Taylor this summer.  Which I mean, really, is a bit of a present to myself as well ;)

One more day til the weekend people, we can do it!
