Pineapples

Tank and Belt - Old Navy / Shorts & Jacket - JCrew Factory / Sandals - Payless (similar) / Necklace - Stella & Dot / Bracelet - Michael Kors / Watch - Kate Spade / Earrings - c/o Shopbevel

The pineapple trend has hit in a big way.  I was resisting it, until I found these adorable shorts from JCrew Factory.  This may be a bold statement, but I think I'm ready to name them the most flattering shorts in the world.  I usually hate higher-waisted items because I'm already pretty short-waisted, but somehow these work.  And I mean, who can say no to the print?  I wore this for a day of running errands and was going to wear this to our night at Ravinia last weekend, but the temperature dropped right before I left for the train, so I opted for some cute printed pants instead.  Always the struggle in Chicago.

express here. To be in trend of nowadays fashion I use butt jeans.

  12. your pineapple shorts are such fun! I like how you've styled them with a simpel vest and the denim jacket is the perfect outerwear. I love your hair like that too.

  13. Ahh I love love love this denim jacket! I seriously want to buy it. I'm not sure how tall you are, but are other denim jackets sometimes boxy on you? That's my biggest issue with them. I usually try to buy jackets in a tall so they're longer, but this looks fantastic on you so I'm wondering if the regular size would be long enough on me... This whole look is adorable, and I fully support the pineapple trend.

  19. So I'm 5'9' and usually have to get talls. I do have problems with jackets being too boxy but this one has a little stretch in it which I think helps. This is a regular length, I think the length is okay but the sleeves are a little short. I plan on always wearing them rolled up though so that shouldn't be a problem.

  21. Thanks Fran! I've actually seen milkmaid braids work on shorter hair, you just have to start the braids up higher on your head.
