Navy + Green

Blazer and Skirt (similar) - JCrew / Sweater - Banana Republic / Boots - Sam Edelman / Watch - Kate Spade

Do you find it weird that a lot of the pieces at JCrew Factory this season are remakes of last year's pieces from JCrew?  I know this is something they often do (like the infamous herringbone vest), but walking through the factory store last week was literally like looking through my own closet - there are so many repeats of things I purchased last year.  It's great if you want to grab something you were lusting after last year (I definitely recommend checking out this skirt!) but for me it's not so bueno to shop there this year since there isn't a lot of new stuff.  Although based on yesterday's budget post, I probably don't need to buy anything else this fall.

  1. Those booties are adorable, I love the buckle detail on the side and how they get a little darker at the toe. Love the navy top and blazer with the green skirt together as well, definitely going to have to try that color combination. Honestly, I have been trying to stay away from J. Crew altogether lately since they seem to be having sale after sale and I just can't do it. But I have noticed that in the past, the repeats. It always bugged me that they never really marked those things down either. There was a skirt years ago that I wanted and found the next year at the factory story for the same price. Just why?

  2. Navy and hunter green is one of my favorite combos--- you just reminded me I have a blazer in those colors that I have to dig out! Loving the booties as well!

  5. Hmmm.... interesting observation about the Factory Store. I've never paid close attention, but I can tell you it's not easy to resist something a second year in a row...so they're onto something there :)

    I love that skirt!!

  6. SO adorable! That skirt looks absolutely adorable on you. And I completely agree about J. Crew Factory's new take on just reissuing popular J. Crew pieces from last year. It's been great to get a second chance on pieces that I missed out on last year (crossing my fingers for the orchid plaid top to appear!), but I've also been finding fewer things there I really want.

  8. Yeah I think it's true to size, but I have the JCrew version so not sure if it's exactly the same.

  11. I like this shade of blue on you. It suits you (and me). Blue is such a great color for redheads, even fake ones like me ;-) And just how cute is the giraffe on your striped shirt?
