Instagram Lately

I can't believe it's been over 2 months since I shared an Instagram Lately post. I've been posting more outfits over on Instagram since it's harder to figure out when to take a full set of outfit photos. Here's a few I've shared lately:

We had a couple warmer days over the weekend (I can't believe I just called 45 degrees "warmer") so I used the occasion to show off them ankles. Back in two pairs of socks and fur lined boots today haha. I forget every year that I own this peacoat until November, and then I wear it like crazy through the holidays. I've had it for like eight years at this point and it's held up great. I have it in a tall, and the sleeves and shoulders are perfect on me.

Exact Coat (they don't have red this year) or Similar / Similar Sweater / Jeans / Shoes / Bag

We got fancy for a fundraiser last weekend - so fun to have an excuse to dress up (and get a babysitter!)

This coat is another one I get a ton of questions about. I've had it for three years now, and haven't had any issues with getting it dirty! In fact, one of the first times I wore it I spilled hot chocolate down the front, and it wiped right off without leaving a mark. Of course, Mia hasn't attempted to use it as a napkin yet, so we'll see if that opinion changes ;) If you're interested, J.Crew has been having a 40% off sale just about every weekend, so definitely look for a good price! I'm wearing a 16 tall, which is definitely oversized but I like that I can fit big sweaters and sherpa fleeces underneath with no problem.

I had this on for approximately 30 minutes for daycare dropoff, and then got back home and immediately changed into sweats ;)

This was from our trip to the pumpkin farm last month! Mia was not feeling the smiles this day, which is always too bad for her since it means we take a hundred photos trying to find a good one ;)

I was super excited to be able to break out this plaid shirt again. It was one of my favorites a couple of years ago, and then I didn't get to wear it at all last year due to the tiny baby bean I was trying to cover. They brought it back this year in a flannel, and I'm trying to justify to myself having the same shirt in two different fabrics 🤣

Just matching with my mini!

Our daycare is a 15 minute walk from our house, and I'm surprised at how much I love the reason to go for a walk every day. Jeff and I had both been working from home and he was supposed to go pick Mia up, and I jumped up and basically begged to go with. Jeff then asked if he could stay home. Um, no!

Remember bare leg weather?! I only got a couple of wears out of this dress before the weather turned, but I'm still so glad I bought it. Can't wait for spring weather so I can break it out again! The dress is currently on super sale in case you're in the market, I suggest sizing down.

I went to a work conference back in September, and momentarily panic-ed about finding something business-y to wear. Then I remembered I own this sweater blazer, which somehow pulls together anything you put it over (including a tee shirt dress!)

I freaking love this picture, how cute is that little smile?! This was actually from Labor Day, my last day of maternity leave. Only two months ago but it feels like a lifetime. I can't believe how little Mia looks here!

Instagram Lately

We moved Mia down to her room a couple weeks ago, so our bedroom is finally (almost) back to normal!! This is a pretty typical daycare drop off outfit for me now that the mornings are getting cooler. Always toss on that hat to hide my #momhair ;)

We got tickets to a Cubs day game a couple weeks ago while Mia was in daycare, and it was so fun! Plus we managed to see a W which is always nice. The next day I had to go to immediate care though, it turned out I had a sinus infection! I thought something might be wrong when I had one drink at the game and thought I might die haha ;)

We had my parents babysit on a Sunday night, which meant we had to be back home pretty early so my mom could be home for her early "school night" bedtime ;) We just ran over to Lincoln Square for dinner on the patio at Bistro Campagne. Somehow we've been several times inside but this was the first time we sat outside, and it's really pretty back there, like a secret garden.

My chai habit got out a bit out of control for a while (especially when my doctor told me I should be getting more calcium - took that as permission to have one daily haha!), but we've reeled it back in ;)

Sandals (on sale!)

Had to be downtown a bunch of days in a row a few weeks ago, and it was weirdly fun to get dressed up and wander the city. I may or may not have ended up at City Winery a couple times ;)

Out and about in Lakeview with Mia to meet another friend's new baby!

This sweater blazer was one of my best buys (Er, gift requests? My mom gave it to me for Christmas last year.) - I wear it all the time. Love how it dresses up my summer mom uniform of a tee shirt and shorts.

Another date night from this summer at Flora Fauna. The whole restaurant is so cute, but the food was the real standout here - some of the most creative but really good dishes I've had in a long time!

I know this outfit was in a blog post at the beginning of the summer, but I had to reshare since this top from last year is back in stock! The eyelet detail is so pretty :)

A snap from Jeff's brother's wedding earlier this summer - my dress was so fun to wear! And I managed to keep those heels on all night :)

Instagram Lately

I've been getting much worse at taking pictures of my outfits lately, so a lot more is ending up on Instagram that doesn't get shown here. We could blame the baby here, but let's be honest, it's half because I forget and half because it seems to rain in Chicago every freaking day. So, in case you've missed them on Instagram (because wah wah wah algorithm wah) here's what I've been wearing lately:

My mom-iform: Tee / Jacket / Leggings / Sandals

Instagram Lately

Oh hey there! We haven't been taking outfit photos while I get this #mombod whipped back into shape. (Is #mombod a thing because it should be? Also I'm completely relying on breastfeeding and going on walks here. I literally just stuffed a cupcake into my mouth.) But, I have actually been sharing a lot more of my day-to-day outfits on Instagram than I usually do. It was very handy having my photographer (read: husband) on hand for a month straight ;)

I always think this type of round up will take less time than a full outfit post, but it usually ends up taking more time because I have to hunt down all of the links! You can always shop my Instagram by clicking the link in my Instagram bio, which takes you to the Shop page on my site where I link everything up through LikeToKnowIt. But, some websites don't work with LikeToKnowIt and I know some people don't like to use it, so I'm sharing additional links here.

Insta Lately

I've been trying to post more on Instagram lately after taking a little breather over the summer - here's a some of what I've shared lately! If you want to follow along in (closer to) real time, follow me @kristinadoes.

Sneakers / Leggings (these are maternity, here are my favorite non-maternity) / Pullover

Fall leaves, yes please! Apparently walking is good for the baby (??) so I've been trying to lace up and head out every day. I've been listening to lots of podcasts out walking, my favorite currently is Binge Mode, they're doing a series on every Harry Potter book and movie!

Vest / Flannel / TeeLeggings (these are maternity, here are my favorite non-maternity) / Socks / Boots / Similar Hat / Sunglasses

We went out to the pumpkin farm over the weekend, and while my sister was snapping pictures of her kids with the pumpkins, I made Jeff take some of me ;)

I wore this for our last OB appointment - we found out we're having a little girl!! I love pairing camel and black for fall, it's so easy but really elevates whatever you're wearing.

Sneakers / Leggings (these are maternity, here are my favorite non-maternity)

Just creeping on fall wherever I can find it (including at the grocery store!)

Sweater / Scarf / SneakersLeggings (these are maternity, here are my favorite non-maternity)

I bought these sneakers basically for the leather tags - such a cute detail that makes them look really high end!

I wore this for a little bachelorette dinner for my bff Tracy a couple weeks ago - she's getting married in less than two weeks now eep!!!! I bought the dress last fall and it turns out it's very bump friendly, and I love that it works so well casually or dressed up! It's available in a ton of fall colors right now.

We're already past bare legs weather in Chicago and I'm so sad - I want to get more booties and dress combos in!

I've been going a little pullover crazy as of late - I actually had to designate a new space for all of them in my closet! They're all so freaking cozy though, I can't be mad.

Sweatshirt / Jacket / Jeans (these are maternity) / Similar Boots / Similar Bag

My second to last Cubs game of the season - so sad they didn't make the playoffs and my run of hot dog and ice cream covered in Oreos had to come to an end :( This quilted sweatshirt is amazing by the way, and was out of stock for most of last winter. But it's back in all of the colors! Maybe don't get the cream one though, I swear I get something on it every time I wear it.

Similar Sweater / Similar TeeJacket / Leggings (these are maternity, here are my favorite non-maternity) / Shoes

Jeff basically told me he hated these shoes when I put them on, and then when I wore them out of the house I immediately got compliments from all of the old ladies. Who's winning now, Jeff?!

From the left: one / two / three / four / five / six

I was out in San Francisco at the end of September for a week for a work event, and I was so proud of myself for actually bringing things that all matched with each other and made packing easy for once!

Pullover / Sneakers / Leggings (these are maternity, here are my favorite non-maternity) / Sunglasses

I don't always leave my house on a Sunday morning, but when I do there had better be breakfast!

Met a friend for brunch at Hampton Social, it's the best on a chilly day because it feels so beachy inside!
