I always go through phases when I get dressed, like when I wore blue and pink together basically all last spring. I snagged these gorgeous Coach riding boots and black jeans last month, and then I got a tan leather watch for Christmas, and ever since I've been loving pairing them together. Tan and black just go really well together, plus it adds some dimension to my outfits they wouldn't get if I kept it to black boots every day. Everything that I've been wearing with them though is starting to combine into a blur of neutrals, as shown by my Instagram feed. I need to find some color in my life!!
I wore this over to my grandma's house for dinner over the weekend, only to show up and discover my sister was wearing the exact same cardigan and necklace!! I mean, the necklace isn't that weird because I bought the same necklace for all of my bridesmaids, but it's funny that we were wearing such a similar outfit because my sister's style is usually so different from mine. I've mentioned it a few times before, but she really hates a lot of the things I buy - getting her to approve of something is the ultimate compliment!
We've been getting in a lot of time with my family lately, and I've really been loving it not just because I love seeing my siblings and parents, but also because my little niece Mae is at such a fun age right now (18 months!!) where it seems like she's changing and learning something new every week! I swear, two weeks ago when I Facetimed with her (she calls me a lot without her mom noticing hahaha) she didn't say anything, and then she Facetimed me again at work last week and said "Hi Aunt Teeny!" Well, I mean, that may be an exaggeration, but I definitely heard the "hi" and then other noises that resembled my name. When I saw her over the weekend I brought her the cutest little raincoat I bought for her, she immediately wanted to put it on and then ran over to me for a hug - talk about the cutest thing ever! So, Mae, just let me know the next time you want to hang out ;)
